First steps......

Here we go, feels kind of weird setting this up - no idea what to expect!

I guess with some hard work (and a bit of luck) we can host some lively debate and share some experiences around what we mean by 'coaching marketing structure' and how this looks and feels out in the real world

..............and who knows what else :-)

Well they say every great journey starts with one small step - so thank you Mark for stepping forward and starting ours.

The idea of structure comes from the real world - it is the expression clients and prospects requently use when voicing the frustrations they feel around how marketing shows up for them - they want 'more structure'. Board members typically struggle to appreciate the work of their marketing department. The marketing department feels undervalued as they fail to have either there own or their agency's work acknowledged properly at board level. It all feels too soft.

Businesses prefer to engage in processes with greater rigidity 'a framework' - something they can buy with greater confidence. Most boards would love to have marketing functioning effectivly in their businesses, but they don't know how to make it happen. Listening to their frustrations seemed like a good place to start ....
